What is BioLogic's CLOVER PLUS Food Plot Seed?
After several years of consumers raving about New Zealand clovers, we have
made them available in their own blend. BioLogic's Clover Plus is a blend of our
New Zealand Red and White clovers and our extremely successful varieties of
chicory -- making this a very attractive planting offering quality forage that
produces through the hot months of summer.
These clovers are very succulent and the huge leaves produce excellent
nutritional forage for both whitetail deer and turkeys. The chicories we have
selected is a favorite for whitetails and thrives in the heat of summer that
stresses most other crops.
Try BioLogic Clover Plus; its quality forage and high nutritional value will
help you grow healthier, more productive animals. Once established, and with
normal rainfall events, you can expect growth for 3 to 5 years.
 How To
Plant Clover Plus Food Plot Seed
This blend is best planted by spreading the seed on a well-prepared seedbed
at nine (9) pounds per acre, and then using a cultipacker to cover the seed.
Broadcasting the seed on a well-prepared seedbed just prior to a rain also
produces an excellent stand as the rain serves to bury the seed the appropriate
depth (1/4") and ensure there is adequate soil moisture for germination. Disking
is not a recommended method of covering the seed as this process buries the seed
too deep for seed survival. Use five (5) pounds per acre if broadcasting onto
existing perennial stands.
When To Plant Clover Plus Food Plot Seed
Clover Plus can be planted anytime after mid August in the south, and as late
as mid October, as long as adequate soil moisture is available. In northern
climates such as New York and Michigan, it can be frost seeded or planted during
the spring when adequate soil moisture is available. It may also be planted
during the early fall in the northern zone when adequate soil moisture is
available. it should be planted 30 - 50 days before frost date, depending on
available soil moisture.
