How To Plant Guide's Choice

On a prepared seedbed broadcast the seed or use a grain drill to plant at a rate of 40lbs. per acre.  If you choose to broadcast the seed, then use a cultipacker or drag the area lightly to cover the seed.  Do not disk the area as the seed will be buried too deep.  Fertilize the area according to the soil's condition.  See our section in the menu to the right on Food Plot Help.

When to Plant Guide's Choice Seed For Food Plots

This seed need 75-80 days before a first frost to mature properly.  As we all know, Mother Nature does not follow our rules! So the seed could mature faster under certain conditions.

A good rule of thumb (although the weather has been odd lately), in the south plant in July or early August. In Northern climates plant during June and July.
