Directions for Use:
Most Woodland Soil is low in Phosphorus and Potassium.
Wild Game 8-12-12 fertilizer provides the necessary nitrogen,
phosphorus, and potassium to maximize the growth of your Wild Game
food plots. Wild game fertilizer is also excellent for use
in encouraging growth of native vegetation.
Timing of Applications:
The first application should be made when the
game plot is planted or when native vegetation produces new growth
in the spring. For maximum growth, a second application of
1/2 the rate of the first application should be applied approximately
3 months after planting or date of first application.
Rate of Application:
For optimum growing production of your wild game food plots
use the following rates:
Large Acreage:
Use 500 lbs per / acre (Split in 2 applications)
Small Plots: Use 11.5 lbs per 1000 sq. ft.
This results in an application rate of 40 lbs Nitrogen / 60 lbs
of Phosphorus / 60 lbs of Potassium per acre. Note on
large acreage, your second
application should be 250 lbs. per acre or 5.75 lbs per 1000 sq.
ft.
Method of Application
Spread fertilizer uniformly over the desired
planting area or natural vegetation area. For best results
apply fertilizer prior to planting and incorporate into the soil
by tilling or disking. Wild game fertilizer is excellent for
use with all game seed mixes sold by Seedland.
