Type: warm season annual legume
Uses: This is a late maturing cowpea that holds in the hull better
than other varieties. The seeds are relished by quail and other game birds. The
plants, similar to other cowpeas, produce abundant foliage that is high in
protein and an excellent food source for deer with better resistance to heavy
grazing pressure than cowpeas.
