Dwarf Essex Rape is a cool-season annual
plant similar to turnip and rutabaga, it is a part of the
cabbage family, and does taste similar to cabbage. Produces
large, flat leave that grow between 12 to 20 inches long, and 8
to 15 inches wide. Grows to a height of 2 to 4 feet. Has yellow,
cross shaped flowers with four petal, and produces sickle shaped
pods that contains tiny seeds. Used primarily for forage, seed
oil (colza oil) and birdseed. A favorite of deer.
