These grasses are used extensively
for permanent and short term pastures. Grown in single stands or
mixed with other forage crops ryegrass has exceptional
qualities much desired for use as wildlife food plots and forage
pasture supplements.
Highly palatable and nutritious,
both Annual and Perennial Ryegrass grasses are used in mixes where it is the
dominate or the lesser of the ingredients of the mix. Ryegrass is
a multi-purpose grass used to seed plots in conjunction with clovers or other legumes,
bromes, wheat grasses, orchard grass, timothy, hybrid ryegrass,
tall fescues and Kentucky bluegrasses. Each mix may be selected for
specific reasons and mixed with ryegrass according to the areas of adaptation.
